For sale: A new way of life
New Straits Times (Property Times), 14 July 2003
The pioneering 294-acre mixed-use development of Sentul East and Sentul West, privately developed, master-planned new community is something Malaysians have not seen before, and the sales of The Tamarind at Sentul East – the first homes to make their debut about a year ago – have indicated that they like it – a lot. The Maple at Sentul West has also won over a substantial number of homebuyers. It didn’t take an official launch to close over 30% sales quickly.

East vs West
The Star Online, 23 June 2003
"Choice units, which face the park, carry with them a premium. The fact that they have been taken up says something about the project. People do not mind paying a premium for the view," says YTL Corp Bhd deputy managing director Datuk Yeoh Seok Kian. The official launch next month would see the opening of the second block for sale. Both blocks, on a total acreage of 5.3 acres, would have a total of 318 units.

YTL unveils The Park at Sentul West
YTL Community, 6 May 2003
"Just as in Sentul East where developments are named after spices to reflect the zest and energy of the East, developments in Sentul West will be named after trees. Many of you may not be aware, but this actually follows a very Malaysian tradition where, towns and even kampungs are named after trees. Petaling, Kulim, Penang, Mertajam and of course Sentul are just a few examples."

YTL launches first project in Sentul
YTL, 17 June 2002
The Tamarind … the name conjures up images of a tropical tree with sweet-smelling yellow flowers. Better known for its fruits than its flowers, and commonly known as assam jawa, the spice is as much a part of Malaysian cuisine as rice is to Asians.
